Tennis
Tennis had the big three of Novak, Federer and Nadal for years, and to me, I always saw it as a big 3 sport. My top three sports are football, basketball, and tennis. I personally play basketball because I am tall, but after recently starting to play tennis, I must say that I may prefer tennis more. I find that when I play individual sports like tennis, I tend to enjoy them more. It is just you and no one else, as opposed to basketball or football, where you have to rely on others to win. Tennis allows you to play at your own level; you are only as good as you are, which is something I think we all take for granted. In addition to this, I find the mental aspect of tennis to be really enjoyable, as you can just focus on one point, then move on, win or lose, that's it, win or lose. There is no draw in tennis; there is only win or lose, and I feel like that makes the sport more enjoyable, unlike football. Playing tennis has really opened my eyes to just how difficult playing tennis actually is; serving, volleying, backhand, forehand, drop shots, one-handed backhand or two-handed. There is so much more to Tennis than just hitting a ball, and of course, I knew that, but until I actually started to play, it was so much harder than I expected. The pressure to make an easy shot makes them impossible to hit sometimes as well. That's it for this post, and I must say the post exam relaxation has been a real renaissance for me, travelling all over the world, new sports and awaiting results day.
I like tennis too, it's a lovely sport. Shame that two of the opens happen in the worst time zones, though!
